Elie Saab Couture {Fall 2012}

Always fresh out of a fairy tale - Elie Saab's imagination and designs never cease to enchant. His Fall 2012 Couture line flowed light as air, inspired by "Imperial splendor". Beautiful hues and embellishments tell the story of the wonderous imperial fantasy. Saab's brilliance shows through his ability to use materials to achieve an ephemeral, weightless quality to the gowns - sheer fabrics with rich and intricate embellishment. The entrance black tones, deep teal, the beautiful shimmery nude/peach, and soft yellow/green give an interesting edge to the delicate details of each dress in the show, beautifully displaying Saab's motif of imperial splendor. Each dress embodies thoughtful, intricate, wonderstriking detail ; mesmerizing anyone and everyone in sight.
The entrance of the show. BLACK. Dark and Twisted

Shimmering Nudes - always a favorite of mine. Has such an other-worldly effect

My absolute FAVORITE hue & detail of the show. Peach infused with shimmery nude.  BEAUTIFUL, and has such an other-worldly effect - gives the skin the effect of shimmering all over!

The sporadic placement of shimmering, shiny golden/nude detail on theis dress. FAVORITE detail.

Taupe. LOVE the sleeve and neckline detail of the second dress.. So gorgeous.

Cinderella Blue! - but unlike the disney princess, these dresses have a much more fitted silhouette - a modern update.

Deep Teal. The high neckline with long sleeves of the second dress displays such a cool and refreshing contrast to the other styles!
The yellow/green - perhaps the must surprising and delightful shade of Saab's line. Embodies the feeling of Autumn/Fall! Shimmering in splendor.

The yellow/green infused with the Cinderella Blue and Gray in these dresses.. absolutely enchanting.. infinitely exquisite asthetic

And the showstopper dress below, the finale of the show.
Reminds me of the Swan Princess.. a girl transformed into something absolutely lovely from another world. So effervescent.. Enchanting.
