Dreaming on clouds of Cotton Candy }

Sweet as sugar & brighter than a pack of neon Bubble Tape: CANDY is back on the Fashion Menu, bringing a whole new element to the catwalk. Sorbet Pastels & neon pinks in combination with frills and Appliqué embellishments create a Candy Land asthetic to mid summer fashion. Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton, Prada and Chanel lent their Sweet inspirations to the runway, paving the trend's chocolate-cobblestone path.

Seventeenth Century dream } Baroque

upcoming trend : Baroque Prints.

Marchesa Fall 2012 catwalk

The Baroque is a period of artistic style that used exaggerated motion and distinct detail to produce drama, tension, exuberance, and grandeur in all categories of 17th century art. The style started around 1600 in Italy, spreading to most of Europe. Little did the 17th century artisans know, their intricately detailed Baroque way of life would reappear to become a chic and sophisticated statement for 21st century fashionistas everywhere.

Glowing Goddess: Taylor's TCA Look

Sunday was a big night for Miss Taylor: 5 TCA wins to add to her collection! The country-pop sensation gracefully accepted her awards - while looking luminous and glowing every moment with an absolutely flawless look.
Taylor's use of peach blush gives her a softly flushed look, in combination with highlighter applied under the eyes giving her skin the appearance of glowing. Plum-Magenta eyeshadow and dramatic eyeliner complement the peach-blushed tone of her skin wonderfully - the combination of hues emitting the breathtaking luminous glow.

And the dress ! Silk mousseline, White and flowy with a draped bust bodice, multi-leveled hem and the best part: chic cutouts on each side, with nude tulle overtop - giving the cut-out effect without showing too much skin. SO pretty. Designed by Marcia Lucia Hohan, the dress is actually floor length, but Taylor got it hemmed to be shorter for her, since the TCA's aren't exactly a ball gown event. She accessorized with nude tones, with her nude clutch and pumps - beautifully complementing her peach blushed make-up. For the night, Taylor was most definitely a Grecian Goddess.

Just Peachy

Cute and Pretty is back on the radar  - The soft tones of peach make a bold statement in a very sweet and soft way. This demure color has been spotted as an it color in many aspects of fashion this summer season, from everyday style staples, to couture as shown in Elie Saab's lookbook. The color can be styled in many ways - the color on a cotton dress has a very classy and demure effect. Add the color to shimmering silver like in Elie Saab's couture gowns produces almost an other-worldly effect - mesmerizing and wonderstriking as it almost blends in with skin tone, but leaving you as a shimmering goddess. For summer, peach has a fresh and dewy effect - a refreshing break from the constant flow of neon and bolds. For an extra sweet combo, pair both peach and mint in an outfit - creating the contrast of warm/cool. Being hot mid-summer leading to cooler Autumn, that combination provides an extra lovely effect.

Elie Saab's using the tone in one of his signature pastel-toned gowns! Shimmer.

Collared Whimsy }

Trend alert - a WHIMSICAL twist on a CLASSIC look , this is one of my absolute favorites. Collars are back - the more whimsical and intricately detailed, the better. Collared shirts have always been a staple for a classy addition to an outfit - a lift of sophistication for any look. Except now it has been discovered that if you add little details to a collar like SPIKES. JEWELS. or LACE , not only do you get that added sophistication, but also an entirely new whimsy chic asthetic.
